Anna's Banana Pants - 2008
The Buddy Walk is an opportunity for anyone and everyone to walk -- or support a walker -- and raise funds for the Down Syndrome Group of Northwest New Jersey and the National Down Syndrome Society.
Last year, the Anna’s Banana Pants team raised over $1200 and had over 20 individual who braved the elements to walk with Anna. This year, we hope to exceed both of those numbers!
On October 24, 2009, we are walking in the Buddy Walk to show our support for Anna, and the more than 350,000 individuals with Down syndrome in the United States. We want to do our part to make sure that each individual is given every opportunity to reach their full potential.
We are asking you to Buddy Walk with Anna -- either by joining our team, Anna’s Banana Pants, or by sponsoring a team member -- to benefit local programs and the national education, research and advocacy efforts of the National Down Syndrome Society. Your Buddy Walk contribution will help strengthen our ability to serve the individuals with Down syndrome and their families impacted by this genetic condition.
How far we walk is not as important as why we are walking, and how much we'll make a difference in the lives of all individuals with Down syndrome and their families.
