Registrations must be received by Friday, September 11 to guarantee a t-shirt. On-line registration for the NYC Buddy Walk® will end Wednesday, September 23 at 3:00 pm. On-site Registration will be available at the walk starting at 11:00 am. On-line donations will be accepted until December 31, 2009.
Registering for the 2009 NYC Buddy Walk is as easy as 1-2-3!
1. Sign Up
Click on the Register Here button above to register online. Remember to choose the option REGISTER A FAMILY if you want to use one fundraising page for your entire family. While registering, remember to create a personalized link to your web page. You will only get one chance to do this. For more information about REGISTERING A FAMILY, click here.
2. Create Your Online Fundraising Page
After you register, customize your personal fundraising page by editing text, uploading pictures and changing the colors of your page. You can make changes to your web page as many times as you’d like.
3. Spread the Word
Once your personal fundraising page has been set up, you can send emails to your friends and family through your E-mail Center. The emails will provide a direct link to your personal page where your friends and family can make a donation on your behalf. We've even written some sample emails to help get you started!
Even if you are unable to be in New York City for the Buddy Walk, you can still be a virtual walker from anywhere. Or you can simply make a charitable donation to help support the Buddy Walk program and the National Down Syndrome Society by clicking on GENERAL DONATION above.
